The Macallan Distillery

The Macallan Distillery is located on the Easter Elchies estate near Craigellachie in Speyside, overlooking the River Spey. Famous for its obsession with sherry-seasoned oak casks and its use of "curiously small" copper stills - the smallest on Speyside - it produces a distinctively rich, viscous, and full-bodied spirit.This heavy, oily new make allows for long maturation, resulting in a luxurious whisky renowned for its deep natural colour and signature notes of dried fruits, ginger spice, and dark chocolate.

Tristan Eaton

Eaton is best known for his large scale public murals, found throughout the world from New York to Paris to Shanghai, which he executes in freehand spray paint; a technical and personal nod to his own history and respect for graffiti culture, while honoring traditional painting and muralism with his thoughtful and dynamic subject matter and compositions.His mural of Alexander Graham Bell can be found in Miami South Beach, on the side of the building that was once the headquarters of Bell Telephone. The mural goes by the name "The Spirit of Communication".

How we bring One-of-a-kindsingle cask whiskies to life

Stage 1

Spirit Selection

Our Director of Whisky, Alasdair Day, chooses the perfect spirit to work with. This comes from years of experience, friendship, and collaboration with the ﬁnest distilleries from Scotland and beyond.

Stage 2

Cask Selection

Once Alasdair has selected the perfect spirit, a cask is chosen that will accentuate the unique characteristics of the distillery’s spirit. He’ll take into account everything from the type of oak used, and the degree of charring, to the cask’s size and what liquid was previously held inside, for example Olorosso Sherry. Each element impacts the ﬁnal ﬂavour characteristics of the whisky.

Stage 3

Time

The ﬁnal ingredient is the marriage of spirit and cask. Alasdair chooses just the right amount of time to allow the complex and unique ﬂavours to blossom, giving that unrepeatable taste experience that only single cask whisky can bring. And in the meantime, while the whisky is maturing, you can reserve a bottle at a discounted price before it is bottled.

Whether you’re buying a bottle to drink right away, or setting on your maturation journey, the time will come to receive your single cask whisky. And this isn’t the only thing that’s unique - the bottles from each individual cask will have their own bespoke label, designed by upcoming artists, showcasing the individuality of each whisky produced.
