Caskshare Ballots – everything you need to know.
Caskshare offers a wide range of single-cask whisky. We believe everyone should enjoy whisky the way they want to enjoy it. Drinking, collecting, and investing are all ways to express your love for the industry. Whatever way you like to enjoy your whisky, we will always have a cask for you at Caskshare.
Offering single-cask bottles from small, contemporary, and new-world distilleries has always been at the heart of Caskshare’s ethos. Bringing whisky you may not be able to find anywhere else and giving these distillers the love they deserve is something we take pride in.
Every cask on Caskshare has its own unique story. Some casks, however, are a little older and a little rarer than the rest. For these old & rare releases, we will distribute bottles through a Caskshare Ballot.
Ballots are a fair and efficient way to distribute these premium bottlings. There will always be a lot of demand for these casks and ballots are a great way to make sure everyone gets a fair chance to own a bottle.
What is a ballot?
Ballots are becoming increasingly popular especially in the alcohol industry – more specifically with wine and whisky. These are by far the fairest way to offer rare, sought-after bottles rather than first-come first-serve.
A ballot works by allowing people who are interested in purchasing the product to enter into a draw. The ballot will close and entries will be selected at random. The people who are successful will be given the opportunity to purchase the balloted product.
How to enter a Caskshare ballot?
