Now in its fifth year of welcoming visitors, The Ardnamurchan Distillery and Visitor Centre is located on the beautiful and wild Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Two styles of spirit are produced, peated and unpeated spirit, using locally barley grown.
The distillery is fully reliant on renewable energy sources. Hydro-electricity from local river for electricity and cooling water, and biomass boiler using wood chip from a local forest for heat energy.
Legal distilling was unknown on the remote Ardnamurchan peninsula until independent bottler Adelphi opened its distillery there in 2014. The Ardnamurchan Distillery opened in July 2014 producing two signature styles of spirit.
