Linkwood Distillery is located just outside Elgin in Speyside and is often described as a “workhorse” distillery, with 99% of its stock reserved for blends like Johnnie Walker.
It produces a fresh Speyside spirit – light, grassy, and intensely floral -achieved through unusually long fermentation times which maximise copper contact.
Despite its delicate aromas of fresh-cut hay and green apples, the whisky is prized for having a surprisingly thick, oily texture that gives it great weight and complexity.
