Mannochmore Distillery is located near Elgin in Speyside, sharing a site with its older sister, Glenlossie.
Originally built as a high-volume “workhorse” for blends like Haig, it produces a distinctively light and floral spirit, achieved through long fermentation times and clear worts.
While rarely seen as a single malt, it is known for its clean, “aperitif” style—marked by notes of green apples, cut grass, and a refreshingly dry finish—and is historically famous for producing the cult “black whisky,” Loch Dhu.
