The Macallan Distillery is located on the Easter Elchies estate near Craigellachie in Speyside, overlooking the River Spey. Famous for its obsession with sherry-seasoned oak casks and its use of “curiously small” copper stills – the smallest on Speyside – it produces a distinctively rich, viscous, and full-bodied spirit.
This heavy, oily new make allows for long maturation, resulting in a luxurious whisky renowned for its deep natural colour and signature notes of dried fruits, ginger spice, and dark chocolate.
