Tom Burbidge has been painting for 18 years now, it’s something he’s always had a connection with from a young age. Abstract painting took Burbidge into a new direction and is his primary focus today.
A need for ‘silence’, escapism and truth in his work seemed to be a more direct way to produce images, compared to realism that came prior. Now, his paintings hold a uniqueness and are simply raw in character and sensation.
His success is bonded with a natural approach in which he develops the work. The ageing of whisky has similarities as each cask develops an authentic persona of its own. Tom creates art persistently that’s now enjoyed by collectors all over the world.
